What we collect

• Donations. When you donate, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email, and payment details to process the transaction and email you a receipt. We never see or store your card number — that's handled entirely by Stripe.
• Contact, volunteer, and lost & found forms. When you fill out a form on this site, the information you enter (name, email, phone, and whatever you tell us) is sent to us through our form provider, Formspree, so we can respond to you.
• Nothing else. We don't run ad trackers or analytics scripts that follow you around the web, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of outside services to run this site and only share what's needed for them to do their job:

• Stripe — processes donations and payment information.
• Resend — sends donation receipts and internal notifications.
• Formspree — delivers contact, volunteer, and lost & found form submissions to our staff.
• Petstablished — provides the adoptable pet listings shown on this site.
• Meta (Facebook) — provides the event listings shown on this site from our public Facebook page.

We don't share your information with anyone beyond what's needed to process a donation, respond to a form, or run the site itself.

Donation receipts

Cass County Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donation receipts are emailed automatically and may be used for tax purposes to the extent allowed by law.
