Welcome to the Cass County Humane Society. We are a shelter dedicated to serving the abandoned, homeless, and lost dogs and cats of our community, since 1948. We believe in the humane care of each and every animal that comes through our door. We believe every animal deserves a chance to thrive and live a happy, healthy life.
CCHS provides the city of Logansport and Cass County with animal services and pet programs, including adoptions, education, and volunteer opportunities. Animals in our care receive necessary medical treatment from our valued veterinary partners, which allows us to save lives and improve the quality of health for our animals in need.
Snickers is an 8 month old, male, black lab mix who came to the shelter with 4 of his siblings.
Snickers had a very hard start to his short life. He was left abandoned at his home, outside, with 11 other dogs. When Snickers was brought to the shelter, it was quickly discovered he had Lyme Disease and was immediately started on treatment.
Lyme Disease is something Snickers will have for the rest of his life, but luckily for him, it is not something that cannot be managed with an annual vaccine and monthly tick prevention!
Snickers is wiggly, silly, and super loving! He just wants to be with people and please them. We also believe Snickers is potty trained and knows some basic commands!
Snickers has an adoption fee of $50. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and up to date on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Losing a pet can be a stressful and emotional time for a pet owner. Cass County Humane Society can help ease some of the burden, offering our Lost & Found Pets Service. Our dedicated staff is here to provide timely support and assistance to help find your missing companion and bring them back home.
Did you know the shelter runs and operates a pet food pantry? Open to the public during shelter operating hours, we offer assistance to community members in need who are wanting to keep their pets, but need help feeding them.
We give FREE gallon baggies of cat food, gallon baggies of dog food, cat treats, dog treats, and gallon baggies of cat litter to Cass County residents. We require a driver’s license as proof of residency.
Through public donations, we have made this possible! Unfortunately, our pantry is running DRY and we need your HELP!
We do accept opened bags. Is your dog being picky? We will take the food they do not want to eat and give it to a pup that will!
All brands of food and litter are welcome as donations!
You may drop off donations ANY TIME by the front door up the ramp. Please do not leave donations outside if it is raining.
We also accept monetary donations! If you want your donation to go directly to the pet food pantry, please let staff know or write it on your donation. Donations can be mailed to 700 Water Street, Logansport, IN, 46947 or dropped off during shelter open hours.
